Sublimation onto aluminum is a process of infusing dyes into a sheet of pre-treated aluminum via heat transfer. Sublimation is the process of going from a solid to a gas, back to a solid - skipping the liquid state. BLACK-AND-WHITE COLLECTION - Limited Edition PrintsAll black-and-white prints are custom made using Alison’s choice of fiber-based archival paper, are of superior print stability, and are checked for quality before delivery. Images are in an edition of 10, 20 or 50 and are priced according to the limited number left in each edition.Some images are offered in both black-and-white and split-toned color. Toned prints add a warmth to the image while keeping the depth of contrast between highlights and shadows. Not all images are suitable for this coloring and therefore are not offered on all images.
